שָׁמַשPi. שִׁימֵּש (Shaf. of מוש, משש) 1) (to handle, be busy,) to minister, officiate. Yoma VII, 5 כהן גדול מְשַׁמֵּשוכ׳ the high priest officiates in eight garments, and the common priests in four.
